16 trade ideas for 30 October 2026: 7 long and 9 short. Entry, stop and two targets are given for each, with the reasoning and the level at which the idea is abandoned.
Today's framework
Friday 30 October 2026. Two shocks are running at once. In crypto, 6.3 billion dollars were stolen from Binance, withdrawals were halted and institutional money started leaving the other exchanges too; bitcoin fell to a six-week low. In equities, Alphabet lost 12.64% and Amazon 7%, while energy and the cash-generating names were spared.
Seven of the ideas are long and nine short. Seven are taken at the market; the rest wait for an upward reaction before the sell is taken, and the two crypto ideas are kept to quarter size because the event flow is still unresolved.
Trade ideas
Entry is given as a band, or as the single level a conditional idea needs. The note under the table gives the reasoning and the level at which the idea is abandoned.

- 1. BTC — short. At 78,614 dollars after touching 76,500 overnight, a six-week low; over 24 hours 1.5 billion dollars of positions were liquidated. There is a single cause: 6.3 billion dollars were stolen from Binance and withdrawals were halted, and institutional investors started pulling money out of the other exchanges too. The 18,270 bitcoin in the attacker's hands cannot be frozen and sit untouched across 19 wallets. Standard Chartered says no new floor forms until the assets are resolved. The direction is down, but with the event flow unresolved the size is a quarter. Action: sell at quarter size on an upward reaction into the 79,300-80,200 band, target 76,500. Invalidated if: A close above 81,100.

The spread to Brent is 9 dollars. Action: buy in the 102.80-103.60 band, target 104.99. Invalidated if: A close below 102.20.
- 8. TSLA — long. At 403.30 dollars and over the past month it returned 13.1% more than the market; the weekly gain is 7.67% and momentum is 63. It was flat yesterday and was spared the technology selling. The structure is mixed, so the size is small. Action: small buy in the 402-404 band, target 406.98. Invalidated if: A close below 400.
