Trading Signals - 5 November 2026

21 trade ideas for 5 November 2026: 8 long and 13 short. Entry, stop and two targets are given for each, with the reasoning and the level at which the idea is abandoned.

Today's framework

Thursday 5 November 2026. The reading of the election result turned: on Jefferies' view the new governors will bring rules rather than bans, which means a brake on uncontrolled spending and an advantage for the companies with the stronger balance sheets. Microsoft rose 6.68%, Amazon 6.12% and Apple 5.31%. The chip side went the other way, and Brent has lost 20% this week.

Eight of the ideas are long and thirteen short. Two are taken at the market and seven on a pullback; the rest wait for an upward reaction before the sell is taken. The buy side is the large caps that fund their own spending, the European indices and Chevron.

Trade ideas

Entry is given as a band, or as the single level a conditional idea needs. The note under the table gives the reasoning and the level at which the idea is abandoned.

  • 1. BTC — long. At 80,464 dollars and a 3.18% rise yesterday took back the 80,000 threshold; the trend has turned up in every time frame and momentum has risen to 51. The price sits above the 200-day average by 5.9% and over the past month it returned 5.9% more than the market. But the high-low structure is still down and 81,196 has not been cleared for a week. The trend and the structure contradict each other, so the size is small. Action: small buy in the 80,256-80,464 band, target 81,672. Invalidated if: A close below 78,822.
  • 2. ETH — long. At 2,426 dollars and with 5.71% yesterday it was the strongest in crypto; the trend has turned up, momentum is 54 and the price sits above the 200-day average by 5.5%. Over the past month it is slightly ahead of the market. The structure has not turned yet, but the recovery is stronger than bitcoin's. Action: small buy on a pullback into the 2,408-2,421 band, target 2,472. Invalidated if: A close below 2,350.
  • 3. MSFT — long. At 555.80 dollars and with 6.68% yesterday it was the strongest large stock in the market; over the past month it is 6.5% ahead of the market and only 0.6% below its one-year high. Jefferies' reading explains the divergence: the new governors will bring rules rather than bans, which means a brake on uncontrolled spending and so an advantage for whoever has the stronger balance sheet. Momentum is 64. Action: buy on a pullback into the 550.61-552.83 band, target 560.99. Invalidated if: A close below 541.33. It is not traded on MT5.
  • 4. AMZN — long. At 266.03 dollars and up 6.12% yesterday; over the past month it is 3.9% ahead of the market and momentum is 60. The price sits above the 200-day average by 8.1% and the weekly gain is 4.49%. The cloud side is on the winning leg of the same thesis. Action: buy on a pullback into the 263.03-264.32 band, target 269.03. Invalidated if: A close below 257.68.
  • 5. AAPL — long. At 349.51 dollars and up 5.31% yesterday; over the past month it is 5.3% ahead of the market and only 1.4% below its one-year high. The trend is up in every time frame and momentum is 58. It keeps staying outside the debate over data centre spending. Action: buy on a pullback into the 346.53-347.80 band, target 352.49. Invalidated if: A close below 341.20.
  • 6. DAX — long. At 26,437.67 and a 2.22% rise yesterday set a new high; the trend is up, momentum is 65 and it is only 0.7% below its one-year high. Cheap energy helps Europe more than the United States because it is an energy importer. Action: buy on a pullback into the 26,319-26,370 band, target 26,556. Invalidated if: A close below 26,108.
  • 7. FTSE 100 — long. At 10,829.20 and up 1.79% yesterday; the trend is up and momentum is 58. The Bank of England decides today and a rise to 4.00% is expected, so the size is small. Action: small buy on a pullback into the 10,791-10,807 band, target 10,868. Invalidated if: A close below 10,722.
  • 8. CVX — long. At 216.96 dollars with the price making successively higher highs and higher lows; over the past month it is 7.3% ahead of the market. But it fell 3.69% yesterday because Brent has lost 20% this week. The structure holds and this pullback improved the entry, but if the fall in oil continues the pressure stays; so the size is small. Action: small buy on a pullback into the 215.16-215.93 band, target 218.76. Invalidated if: A close below 211.95.
  • 9. GOOGL — short. At 288.93 dollars with the price making successively lower highs and lower lows; over the past month it is 16.4% behind the market and the weekly loss is 11.07%. It recovered 3.18% yesterday, which created a better level for the sell. The price sits below the 200-day average by 12% and momentum is 30. Action: sell on an upward reaction into the 290.99-292.54 band, target 285.32. Invalidated if: A close above 298.99.
  • 10. NVDA — short. At 200.13 dollars with the price in a falling high-low structure; it fell 3.17% yesterday and the weekly loss is 7.08%. Invalidated if: A close above 206.43.
  • 11. TSM — short. At 395.75 dollars with the price in a falling high-low structure; over the past month it is 15% behind the market and the weekly loss is 9.96%. • 12. ASML — short. At 1,496.30 dollars with the price in a falling high-low structure; over the past month it is 15.8% behind the market and the weekly loss is 10.02%. A 3.60% fall yesterday took it to 1,478.96 and the price sits below the 200-day average. Momentum is 35. Action: sell on an upward reaction into the 1,508-1,518 band, target 1,475. Invalidated if: A close above 1,555.
  • 13. SOL — short. At 96 dollars with the price in a falling high-low structure; the monthly loss is 20.52% and over the past month it is 7.4% behind bitcoin.
